ShamansDance presents a  modern Shamanic Dance-theatre Festival for New York women.

Journeys to Joy gives you as a New York woman a healing space to return to your body and to your personal dream. Enjoy the magical enchantment of storytelling and dance-theatre AND the powerful transformation of a shamanic healing journey, all in one evening.

International performer and Bailaora Corazon Tierra (La Niña Boricua) offers you the dance-theatre performance Unraveling Absence and a healing journey to help you reclaim the joy of living in your body. Incorporating Flamenco and Bomba Afro-Boricua dance into an interactive performance piece, Corazón shares the story of how she healed from anorexia.

First performance/first week-end: Friday, February 23 and Saturday, February 24 (2007), at 7:30pm. At F.A.R. Space, located at:521 West 26th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues, on the 2nd floor.

Celebrating Women's History Month, PBS-featured performer and internationally known shaman Maria Mar offers you the dance-theatre performance FlightDream and a healing journey to release the roadblocks to your personal dream as a woman. Maria reveals the secret ways in which women sabotage their dreams and affluence and helps you turn self-sabotage into a Power Walk towards your dream.

Second performance/second week-end: Friday, March 2 and Saturday March 3 (2007), at 7:30pm. At F.A.R. Space, located at:521 West 26th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues, on the 2nd floor.
